Hiring the hall.

The Community Hall is a popular venue for many different events and activities.

We are conveniently located a short walk from the ferry, buses and large public car park.

The Hall has a range of facilities, furniture and layouts to suit many types of function, including: parties, receptions, performances, sales, exhibitions, meetings, exercise and other classes.

We can accommodate up to 200 people for informal (standing) occasions, or 100 seated comfortably.
Serving food for your guests is easy from our modern kitchen; whether you are providing your own refreshments, or using a caterer. You are welcome to use our crockery, cutlery, glasses and other equipment.

Our licensed bar can also be requested for your event - just let us know when you book.

The premises are also licensed for music and dancing and the hall is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

How much does it cost to hire the Community Hall?

From 2024 we charge just £15 per hour. This includes the use of the kitchen and optional bar. The length of your Hire will include the time you require for setting up beforehand, arranging the furniture to suit, as well as cleaning and tidying afterwards.

For example, to hire the Hall for a short gathering with light refreshments, might cost from just £30.00

For a more elaborate full evening event, with an exclusive staffed bar and use of the kitchen for catering; could cost as little as £90.00

The Trustees can offer discounts for charities, local not-for-profit organisations and CHOYD members. More information on request
