Hiring the hall.

The Community Hall is a perfect venue for many different events and activities. Although we are currently restricted by Covid 19 precautions (particulalrly for larger getherings) we can offer individual risk assessments for your enquiry.

We are conveniently located a short walk from the ferry, buses and large public car park.

The Hall has a range of facilities, furniture and layouts to suit many different types of function, including: parties, receptions, performances, sales, exhibitions, classes and meetings.

We can accommodate up to 200 people for informal (standing) occasions, or 100 seated comfortably. Serving food for your guests is easy from our kitchen. Whether you are serving your own refreshments, or using a caterer; you are welcome to use our crockery, cutlery, glasses and other equipment.

Our licensed bar can also be requested for your event - just let us know when you book.

The premises are licensed for music and dancing and the hall is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

How much does it cost to hire the Community Hall?

Prices start from just £12 per hour. This may include use of the kitchen and optional bar. Hire times will cover the period required for setting up beforehand as well as cleaning and tidying afterwards.

For example, to hire the Hall for a short gathering with light refreshments, might cost from just £24.00

A more elaborate full evening event, with an exclusive staffed bar plus use of the kitchen for catering, could cost from just £72.00

The Trustees are glad to offer discounts for charities, local not-for-profit organisations and CHOYD members. More information on request
