Joining in

We encourage you to get involved in your Community Hall. We welcome families, couples, singles, young and old.

Everybody is welcome at all our public events and activities; you do not have to be a member to join in. You can also use the bar and games facilities which are open two evenings a week. See the What's On page for opening times.

Everybody is also invited to help with the running of the Hall: volunteering is a great way of meeting new people. If you would like to help by contributing some time, even if it is just occasionally - please use the Contact Us page to let us know!

However, there are benefits to becoming a Member at CHOYD and it's a great way to show your support. Membership costs just £15 per year for adults. Children under 18 are free!

  • You will receive a membership card which entitles you to a discount at the bar and on the tables.
  • Members also enjoy free Wi Fi in the Community Hall.
  • You may receive advance notice of some of the events and activities being held; as well as benefiting from priority bookings and discounted hire fees.

Your views and input are critical, as a member you can have your say about future plans and improvements at the Hall.  Members have the right to vote and appoint Trustees at the AGM (held annually in June). Your membership fee goes towards the running of the Community Hall and is another way of supporting the charity. The following documents provide more information about membership and the charity:
